Would you ever get married at your deer stand? Well, that is undoubtedly the BEST location for this couple, but they wanted to do something a bit nicer. Jeans, boots, and a camo shirt attire turned into khaki pants, a dress, and heels at a beautiful park in The Woodlands, TX.
Ken and Grace have been friends of ours for a few years. The three tough adults go hunting; I stay with the kids or sometimes tag along and read a book. Grace shot a HUGE hog two nights before the wedding. Though the hog has nothing to do with this wedding post, I would be doing them an injustice if I did not give props to their mad hunting skills.
Yesterday was cloudy, but at least it wasn’t rainy and it wasn’t too cool like it was last week. It was a perfect day for an early spring wedding! Alden Bridge Park is one of the best parks in The Woodlands, in my opinion. Ken and Grace rented the pavilion for the afternoon, for which Grace was really glad because she did not have to walk too far in her heels. HAHA! After the park we headed to Papa’s on the Lake for food and more fun.
Congratulations, Ken and Grace! You two have many characteristics and hobbies in common. You have already made it through tough times. Your love has proved to be strong and patient enough to endure anything and without blinking you’ve done whatever it takes to take care of each other. May you have many happy years to come! We’re thankful to call you two friends.
PS – I was the maid of honor, so Chris took the pictures during the ceremony. Good thing I call photography “CnD Haines” as an insurance policy when he gets stuck doing my job. Love ya, babe! Thanks for your help, you’re always helping me!
